With the ISO top cover including hatch frame for the loft ladder Type 12 Solid, you can reduce the U-value of the staircase from 1.3 W/m²K to 0.7 W/m²K. To install, simply place the frame of the top cover on the casing of the loft ladder. For this reason, the top cover is available in the same sizes as the Type 12 Solid. When purchasing, please ensure that the dimensions of the frames match.

The top cover for the Type 12 Solid is 33 mm thick. The hatch panelling consists of a white MDF board and is 38 cm high. It securely encloses the staircase and protects it from dust and dirt. The cover can be opened backwards automatically using lift levers. If you do not have enough swivel range at the top, you can also attach the top cover to the long side of the frame. You then have to open it manually to the side.
